The Sevenfold Path

The Sevenfold Path

You’ve probably encountered terms like quantum jumping, metaverse, multiverse, changing timelines, quantum entanglement, and dimensions beyond the usual three—all of which can sound both fascinating and bewildering. For me, these concepts felt like scattered puzzle pieces, each intriguing yet elusive. Driven by a deep curiosity and my past knowledge of astrology, numerology, and other metaphysical fields, I set out to understand these complex terms. During this exploration, one number kept capturing my attention: the number 7.

My fascination with this number deepened a few weeks ago when I came across a Quranic verse from Surah Al-Talaq (65:12) that mentions the seven earths. Suddenly, this number wasn’t just an abstract idea; it was intricately woven into Islamic rituals and nature. We see the number 7 in the seven rounds of tawaf, the seven stones used in the stoning of the devil, and the seven verses of Surah Al-Fatiha. There are also seven levels of heaven and hell, each with its own set of seven doors, seven colors, seven days, leading to a deeper understanding of divine harmony.

This realization sparked a journey of inquiry: What do these seven earths really mean? Are there seven more earths just like ours? These questions led me to profound insights that I’m excited to share with you. Naturally, I turned to Islam, the Quran, and Hadith as my starting point.

But before we start, I would like to mention briefly that the significance of the number 7 extends beyond Islam. In Judaism, the seven-branched menorah symbolizes divine light. Hinduism, Kabbalah and western esoteric tradition recognize the seven chakras, the seven sephirot, Seven Principles of Hermeticism as central to understanding the universe’s divine structure. Even Shakespeare’s concept of seven original stories reflects a universal fascination with this number, bridging both physical and metaphysical realms. The number 7 seems to be a unifying thread across diverse traditions and fields, each offering a unique perspective on a shared spiritual and metaphysical reality.

As I delved deeper into the concept of seven earths, I began to see them as representations of different layers or dimensions of existence. But different scholars have different views: some believe these earths are physical realms, while others see them as various planes of reality. So, let’s find out…

After I read a Hadith from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) things start to make sense, where he states, “Allah created the heavens and the earth in six days, and He has the power to create whatever He wills. He created seven heavens and seven earths, and He has full knowledge of His creation.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 3756). Ibn Abbas further explained that the seven earths are like the seven heavens, with each earth having its own dimension and significance, just as the seven heavens are distinct and layered.

While reflecting on this, I remembered the Night Journey (Miraj) when Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ascended through the seven heavens, encountering significant figures at each level, including Hazrat Adam on the first sky and Hazrat Ibrahim on the sixth. These were the same Adam and Ibrahim known to us on Earth, not seven different ones. This raises the compelling question: Are the seven earths truly distinct parallel realities, or do they represent something more profound within the divine order? If our Prophet met the same Adam and Ibrahim, does this imply that the seven earths might not be separate realms but rather layers or aspects of our own reality, each intertwined with our own? And do we also exist in these realms?

If so, then in my opinion this idea of seven earths is also linked to the modern concept of parallel realities, where each earth represents a different level of consciousness or existence. By improving ourselves spiritually and ethically, we might align with these higher realities and experience personal growth and transformation.

Beyond religious texts, the number 7 is a profound and recurring motif across various domains, including numerology, astrology, nature, science, and modern metaphysics. Let’s see how the number 7 and the idea of the seven earths link these different areas, giving us a clearer way to understand reality, awareness, and spiritual growth.

The Mystical & Numerological Significance of the Number Seven
The number 7 often symbolizes completeness, spiritual insight, and divine order. In numerology, it is associated with introspection and enlightenment, reflecting a deep understanding of the universe. This section explores the recurrence of the number 7 across various traditions and theories, setting the stage for a broader examination of its significance.

Quantum Physics and Parallel Realities
Modern quantum physics supports the idea of parallel realities through the Many-Worlds Interpretation, which posits that multiple universes or realities exist simultaneously. Each reality reflects different outcomes or possibilities, aligning with the concept of seven earths as parallel realms. By exploring how these realities might overlap and interact, this section connects scientific theories with the metaphysical concept of shifting between different versions of existence.
The Seven Chakras: A Spiritual Map
In Hinduism, the seven chakras are energy centers within the human body, each associated with different aspects of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. From grounding us in the physical world to connecting us to higher consciousness, each chakra represents a distinct level of existence. Healing and balancing these chakras are believed to facilitate spiritual ascension, which can be metaphorically linked to navigating through the seven earths.

Integrating Chakras with Seven Earths
The chakras and the seven earths can be seen as analogous systems representing different levels of consciousness and  reality. Just as each chakra governs a specific aspect of our being,
the seven earths may correspond to different dimensions of  existence. Healing and balancing the chakras can be viewed as a  process of ascending through the seven earths, achieving a higher state of spiritual awareness and connection.
The Seven Rituals for Harmonizing Mind and Body in Islam
Islamic rituals are designed to harmonize mind and body, each addressing different aspects of our well-being. Salah (Prayer) promotes mental clarity by reducing stress and improving focus.
Reciting the Quran enhances insight and offers rest for the eyes.  Listening to Islamic teachings and speaking positively improve  communication and reduce auditory strain. Giving Zakat (Charity)  supports emotional satisfaction and cleanses wealth. Performing
Prayer, Hajj, or Umrah boosts physical health and endurance.  Observing Sawm (Fasting) fosters self-discipline and metabolic  health. Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) calms the heart and promotes spiritual balance. Practicing these rituals can elevate you through different levels of reality, aligning physical well-being with spiritual growth.
The South Node and Intuition
In astrology, the number 7 is often linked to planetary influences and cosmic cycles. The number 7 is ruled by the South Node (also known as the Dragon’s Tail), which represents intuition, karmic lessons, and past life experiences. Unlike the North Node, which is associated with outward growth and development, the South Node is more about internal understanding and reflection, which is why it does not have a head or eyes. This lack of sensory input symbolizes a focus on intuition and energy rather than intellect.

The South Node’s symbolism emphasizes the importance of intuition and energetic fields, representing realities or dimensions that are not visible or do not have a physical presence. Therefore, it is appropriate to suggest that the seven earths might exist in terms of energy or frequency.
(Allah knows best)

Psychological and Physiological Dimensions and Manifestation
In psychology, you might have heard about the concept of “seven plus or minus two,” which suggests that our short-term memory can hold about seven items at a time. This principle opens up a window into the number 7’s influence on human cognition and behavior.

But let’s take a deeper dive. Understanding ourselves often means venturing into the depths of our subconscious, the hidden realm where our unresolved traumas and undiscovered facets of our personality reside. This journey involves unraveling these hidden areas, working through past hurts, and gradually enhancing our mental and emotional well-being. Here, the number 7 plays a role, mirroring the stages of self-discovery and healing.

Human anatomy also aligns with the number 7 in compelling ways. For instance, we have seven major body systems, and our development unfolds through seven key stages.

As we explore these connections, it becomes clear that our introspective journey of healing and self-discovery parallels the concept of navigating through various levels of existence. Just as we work through our chakras or shift between parallel realities, understanding and healing our subconscious aligns with the timeless and universal symbolism of the number 7.

Art of Manifestation and Reality Shifting

Manifestation involves aligning one’s thoughts, feelings, and beliefs with desired outcomes. This process can be understood through the lens of parallel realities or seven earths, where manifesting a specific outcome involves aligning with the reality where that outcome already exists. By raising one’s vibrational frequency and shifting consciousness, individuals can access and integrate desired realities.

A Unified Concept: Seven as a Bridge Across Traditions
The number 7 acts as a common thread that connects different fields, from Islamic teachings and Hindu spirituality to scientific theories, psychology, and natural phenomena. This number isn’t just symbolic; it offers a way to understand spiritual growth as a journey through various levels of existence—dimensions or realities that we can access by raising our spiritual awareness and aligning ourselves with higher energies.

What’s truly fascinating is that these different traditions and ideas; despite coming from diverse backgrounds, all speak to the same core truth: we have the power to shift our reality. By increasing our frequency, vibration, and energy—essentially by working on ourselves (mind, body, and spirit)—we can move into a different reality that already exists on another level.

Just like the Quran speaks of seven earths, each representing different dimensions of existence, other traditions talk about multiple levels of growth and evolution, whether they refer to them as parallel realities, multiple earths, or levels of consciousness. The choice is yours: do you want to stay in a reality where you feel depressed, wounded, sad, anxious, and sick, or do you want to shift to one where you are happy, prosperous, healthy, abundant, and connected?

This integrative approach shows that all these diverse traditions and theories actually converge around the concept of seven, enriching our understanding of reality, consciousness, and spiritual evolution. By recognizing the interconnectedness of everything, we gain deeper insights into our spiritual journey and the possibilities for personal transformation.

Conclusion
By examining these interconnected concepts, we gain a deeper understanding of reality, consciousness, and spiritual growth. The proposed unified framework not only enriches our comprehension of divine creation but also provides practical guidance for personal transformation.

This exploration reveals a profound and cohesive concept, which I like to call “The Sevenfold path” this path illustrates how diverse traditions and theories—despite their different terminologies and perspectives—ultimately converge around the same core principles. It demonstrates that everyone is speaking about the same fundamental truths, albeit in unique ways. The One Sevenfold Path bridges ancient wisdom with modern insights, offering a comprehensive view of spiritual and existential dimensions, and guiding us toward a unified understanding of our journey through existence.
